Fiberglass Eyelids

Here are the fiberglass eyelids I made. They are painted with a spray can and cleared.
I included pictures of the light pattern before and after to show how little light is blocked.
All comments are welcome…

I like them because they're a little different looking...........eventhough they make your car look a little sleepy. Props for making your own though:cool:
 
wow! you did a great job on them :cool:

im not crazy about how they curve down....the kind of make it look like a 90's honda accord :rolleyes: (but mad props for actually making the eyelids flow with the grill! nicely done.)
 
wanna make me a set of the regular ones following the top line in the headlamp? lol Unpainted

wow, so you actually made a cover that goes over the lights, instead of just spraying on tint? way to go the extra mile! looks incredible, although i'm with the others about it going down in the middle. that's the kinda thing that looks great on paper, but doesn't look quite as good in reality. props on the paint match though, and i've worked plenty with fiberglass, i know how much work is involved there. A+, for sure.
 
i think it would look better if the point came all the way down the headlight to the bumper. still mad props for doing it the finish looks amazing.

If I made these to sell it would turn out being so much money that I would not be able to sell them. If a mold was made so I could be able to replicate them faster and cheaper then maybe but as of now I don’t see that happening.

I wanted something different and I thought that if I made it flow from the grill to the body line on the fender they would look nice.

Now I think I have to paint the chrome grill ring, it looks out of place now.

That should make it look better. Soon you'll have a bunch of PM's with people asking for a set since the group buy seems like its not getting off the ground:nonono:
