gauging interest in Bowen Scarff's "free" car show Aug 18th

...they have free hot dogs and soda all day long music and of course all kinds of Ford Cars. The location is in Kent WA. I keep going back because it's all free and you see other cars besides Mustangs!!!

Oh did I mention it's free???

Pre-registration and the show is free.

Roll in 8am
Show 9am-3pm.

I am thinking I will be there... A bunch of the focus guys will be there too... lemme know whatcha all think!!!
 
I'm on call that weekend. Don't think I'm going to want to drive up to Kent and take call the whole time. Too bad, too, 'cause I have a friend up there that I'd like to see.
 
i'm gonna make them regret offering free hotdogs! (i'm a competitive eater who can destroy a plate full of hotdogs!) :D
yeah, i'll definitely be there, can't wait!
 
FYI, Bowen-Scarff is also home to the best parts prices (and service) on the internet at http://www.1stfordparts.com/

I use them all the time and usually get my parts the next day! (UPS is cheaper than driving Redmond-Kent-Redmond.)

I should go if just to meet their internet parts guy, Norman.

they may be the cheapest among ford dealers, but i never go to a ford dealer for parts, unless they're the only one who has it and i can't improvise. napa is my #1 choice, then probably some online store or ebay.
 
alright, 2 days away, can't wait. i'm knee deep in a big reupholstering project in my car, but i'll try to atleast have one door done by the show to display what it will be (once i get the energy to finish!)
 
darn, i didn't get your messages in time, ana. as far as i know, i was the only tour owner there, there weren't even any other tours, stiques, or even so much as an escort in the whole show. it was kinda small, but not too bad. here's pics:

I was next to a whole bunch of Focuses (Foci?), but, just like the all Ford show at bcc, I was the sad, lonely Tour :cry:

The paint job on this Stang was soooooo bad ass. Very custom, all hand done. Closer image below:

So, even though I am consistently the only Tour in these shows, it still is fun each time. And the all you can eat free hotdogs and soda and shaved ice and kettle corn was pretty badass, as well. We should definitely coordinate something for next time, though. Next show, we should just storm the place all together with like 20 tours, that'd be amazing.
 
I did plan on going, but ended up with a conflict. I was part of a group of volunteers helping set up teacher's classrooms for the coming school year at Spirit Ridge Elementary School in Bellevue. I had hoped to sneak out early but they really did need the help so I didn't get out until noon. I figured that by the time I got to Kent things would be pretty quiet, so I punted and went home.

Next time perhaps?
 
Sorry that I didn't make it... I ended up having to put my cat down, he got in a fight with some animal that night and was waiting at my front door when I was leaving... so I didn't have a good day all in all... Hope that you had fun.. it looks as though the weather held out for ya! I will be at the next one for sure!!!!

sorry to hear that. there were definitely better ways to spend your saturday :cry:
