I've done some searching, and can't find whats going on. I recently figured out what my error code ment, and had to get the RCM replaced (memory full error). I installed the junkyard replacement and I've still got an airbag light, a different light from before, this one is pointing to the clockspring. I've searched and couldn't find a solution to my problem. My cruise control and horn still work perfectly, but the code says clockspring. I'm afraid if I spend the money and replace the clockspring, it wont solve the issue. Any suggestions?

A DTC of 32 is NOT a clockspring-only code, it is a code that includes the clockspring as one of the possibilities.

For the horn and/or cruise to still be operational does NOT rule out the clockspring as there is are additional conductors within the clockspring that is NOT common to either of the other functions.

It is highly recommended that you follow the factory service diagnostic to both protect your safety and to properly diagnose and repair the fault.

So, wouldn't that mean the clockspring is the culprit?

KyleQ, maybe you should just send it in to the dealership to get it fixed.

I've got no problems tearing things apart. I just dont want to pay the upfront 100 charge just to tell me whats wrong, and then bend me over for labor that I can do myself. I can get a new clockspring for Steve and replace that, hopefully that will fix the problem.

Looks like a simple job. Remove batt cables, eat meal, remove airbag cover, remove some bolts, remove airbag, remove some more bolts, replace, reverse.

Of course. I've got a lot of expirence with wrenching, but mostly on my 4x4. I've already done a trans swap on the car, so everything else is downhill from there...

I mean that the clockspring MIGHT be the fault, however, it can also be the RCM, the airbag, or anything in the interconnecting harness. Just because both the horn and cruise works does not mean that the clockspring is good since there are circuits that are not shared among all the functions.

Again, the purpose of the diagnostics is to pinpoint the fault so you're not guessing.

I've replaced the RCM already, I was getting an error code that pointed to crash memory full. I replaced it, got rid of the crash memory full light, and got a clockspring light.
