what would be the easiest way to remove the 2.5 duratec motor?

i do have an engine lift and stand.

i know i can drop the subframe but i would rather no do that

Right out the top. Search and you will find more info about it.

I've taken them out the top - engine/trans. as one big piece.

Do you really need a how-to to do this? onder:

Disconnect sensors, roll resistors, and motor mounts and pull out the top. If something is holding you up, lower the engine and disconnect and then try again. Plug and chug so to speak, except its unplug and chug in this case.

Don't forget axles & fuel rail. You can leave the susp. hanging there.

I was going to just ask about the axles. LOL I thought not disconnecting those would be a problem.

I leave the tranny in place, the last pull took 5 hours, just 2 of us, out the top. It gets easier every time..LOL, if I keep grenading engines I will be opening a shop soon..LOL:nonono:

Haynes manual has a pretty good step by step too and is available at most libraries.
