V6 coil packs - problems?

yes and yes
Getting misfires only when the engine is cold. Runs great once hot. I had a code 185 so I replaced the MAF and it runs better much when it's warmed up. Yes the plugs and wires are in great shape. Had some rich codes before and the fuel pressure is OK.

How many of you have had them go bad? I'm on my 3rd in 2 years. One was a junk AZ Wells brand that only lasted 3 months.
Ningunos problemas todavia.

No problems yet.

What brand is on your car now?

non stock coils are poopy unless you get something like accel coil. autozone, parts plus, etc. the epoxy around the terminals where the spark plug wires go in ends up cracking and you will have a misfire there. Take water and spray it on the coil lightly while the car is running, you will see where the crack is because it will light up! Do not touch anything on the car when you are doing this because the shock from a coil does hurt, fyi......

I had water in my electrical connectors. A little grease everything words fine!!

My coil pack died at around 105,000 miles, not sure if it was the original or not as I am the 3rd owner. Tested the resistance with the instructions on Autozone's web site and it failed. Put in a used one from the junk yard and it runs perfect, no more misfiring.
