Here is the story...
Wife goes to get Inspection stiker and the battery light comes on on the way home. I check the voltage with car off and it is at around 9 volts....Car running.....8 volts NOT GOOD. So I charge the battery and immediately think alternator. I hit the Site (the next day) for information. Install looks like a bear but I come across the Mega Fuse Articles. Get to the house and rip off the coil to get to the fuse and test it (ohm meter)....IT IS GOOD!!! Damm$t.... Looks like I gotta spend the 200 for an alternator. I hit the PC and think...let me search ONE MORE TIME before I put the car in the air. Guess what I find....FOG LAMP FUSE!!!!!!! WHAT IN THE WORLD WAS FORD THINKING????? The charging process runs throught the FOG LAMP FUSE!!!! WHOOOOOO...I have seen it all (I hope). I pop the hood and pull the #5 fuse and it was BLOWN!!!! Replace the fuse and crank the car....Charging at 14.5 volts and battery light is gone. The reason for the blown fuse is that the ole lady to a rock to one of the fogs and I guess it shorted out. Aftermarket garbage anyways.....DOES ANYONE HAVE STOCKERS THEY WOULD LIKE TO GET OFF OF?????
THANKS FOR THE INFORMATION GENTS!!!! Saved me heartache if I would have changed that alternator and it still would not have charged.
