I am thinking about purchasing new rims but theres one problem. I would need to drop my car but right now my rear is extremely low already because of my audio system in my trunk.

Is there anyway I can drop the front only without screwing anything up to make it almost even w/ the rear? Rigth now my rear is about 1.2 inches from my rear tire so I couldn't drop it.

What can I do?

You must have a huge audio system to lower the rear that much. You sure the struts aren't bad?

Heres the best before and after pics... it shows the difference... and youd realize it if you say my audio system...

So could I only lower the front??

Jeez, how many pounds of audio equipment do you have in the trunk?! I have two 12" subs, an amp, and some emergency stuff and my rear isn't that low. You should definately check to see if your rear struts are shot or not.

I don't know about lowering only the front, but I would also think that if you DID lower both F+R, the stiffer springs/struts would offset the weight of the system a bit more than the stock ones do. Just my .02.

It is possible to get only lower the front, just order a set just for the front. CTAmotorsports.com has the Koni front struts for the SVT for sale, but it may be to your advantage to grab a set for the rear too. Hope this helps.

What kind of subs do you have in the back??? I dont see how it could possibly weigh it down that much, your struts must be bad.... I had two Power T12s in my trunk with custom MDF box and have b&g springs on it with koni struts and it never got that low...

Couldn't the springs be to blame as well? I have quite the load in the rear of my car and when I had my struts done, the rear sat a little down, but not as much as that.

lowering just the front looks pretty good because ive heard that if you buy the eibach springs, the rear sags. i looks more like a racer if you have the rear up more

Mine does the same thing too. After checking out the suspension...its toasted. I can compress the rear springs by hand. It actually looks like I have a lift kit in the front. I would assume thats the same thing thats going on here.

I run a significantly larger drop in front than the rear... no problems at all. although I dont exactly drive it.

My front drop now is about 1/2" lower than that cougar and the rear is about the same as his. I like it except its stiff as hell.
