SVT jerky deceleration in gear

Hey all, i've got this funny little problem that i can't seem to figure out, so i've learned to drive around it. Basically, when in gear and i lift off the throttle, my SVT is very rough and jerky for a few moments. Depending on how quickly i lift off, i can control how jerky the car is. at low speeds, given the right rpm's and lift off combo, the car can jerk for 5 seconds or more, the only way to correct is to either clutch-in, or accelerate. When the A/C is on, the condition is worse. I was thinking it was tranny/motor mounts, any ideas?

I have the same problem, my friends 2000 csvt will let off thd gas and its like 5x smoother and doesn't feel bad at all. It's the worse in 1st,2nd, and 3rd

Check your motor mounts and roll resistors. My car did the same - it has a 3L swap with no stabo shock and worn resistors. I put poly inserts into the fron and it dramatically reduced that motion. I'm sure a stabo-shock will take care of the rest... Good luck.

i thought that shock was useless but where do you order the front motor mount inserts from and how much were they/how difficult to install?

There are many routes to go. I believe energy suspension sells them - there is a set for sale on the boards. You simply pull the 3 bolts and 2 nuts holding the from resistor on - pull the middle bold holding the 2 pieces together - insert into mount and reinstall. It is idiotproof, they only go in 1 way. Pole120 sells poly filled resistors - contact him.

I've just dealt with it, I never knew this was a problem. It is annoying, mostly in 1st gear, but I just tap the gas to stop it

And they're supposed to reduce wheel hop. Bad thing is the NVH goes up.

yeah, i've been driving it for over a year like that. I've got almost 115K on the car, and as far as i know, the motor mounts have never been changed out. i'm going to see if changing them helps, even if it cuts the jerkyness down by half i'll be happy. Thanks for the help, we'll see what happens shortly...

Id rather tolerate a little vibration sitting in traffic vs my motor slamming back and foreth in the engine bay bucking my car around..
