How to fix broken/ intermittent window/lock switches.
You could also change the LED's at the same time if you wanted to.

Disclaimer, please dont do this unless you are prepaired to buy a new switch. Stuff happens and plastic can break.

1st we will do the single lock, window switches.

These are a bugger to get apart, but it can be done. I used a pair of channel locks gripping the top near the switch with the channels gripped around the fat part (top and bottom), then I used pliers on the bottom part, be careful not to go in to far, you might bend a connection pin.

(Make sure you have a clean work area, the next step you might lose parts.)

Using a twisting motion, pull them apart. 2 small contact pins may or may not pop out.

Get a small file or sanding stick and file the contact strikers, there is one on top and one on bottom (copper square has it attached), just scuff them lightly. Make sure you do all 4 (up and down)

Put contact pins back in and pop it together. mine worked great 1st try

The next is the main driver door switch. This is difficult to put back together due to the child window switch, if you can find this cheap, just buy it.

Using 3 screwdrivers insert them into one side of the switch, this will free this side, may take sometime. Once loose repeat on the other side. Fine blade smaller screwdrivers worked the best. Once apart there will be a small striker that may fall out.

Get a small file or sanding stick and file the contact strikers, there is one on top and one on bottom of each switch (copper square has it attached), just scuff them lightly. Make sure you do all 4 for each switch (up and down).

Putting it back together is very hard. I recommend using glue/adhesive/sticky tack to keep the child lock striker in place. When you are about to put them back together, make sure the spring loaded child switch is lined up with the “valley” in the striker. Quickly push them back together (if you miss the child switch start over…. It’s hard, I would just buy this.
