I spotted a red E0 in the church parking lot acroos from campus, I almost crashed cause I thought I had the only one in tha boro at Georgia Southern( what we call Statesboro)
Local! most ppl down ther use it as an insult, I try not to cause Im a small town boy too, It actually feels like home to me and I love country Statesboro, but.............uncared for, local drivin it...makes since to me
Because many of the older locals suck. Not as embracing of the college as they should be. I never had a problem with younger locals other than the rednecks that meet in their trucks at kmart. Despite those things, I loved statesboro. But it was mainly the bar/party scene I liked.
The 'boro was nice... it had everything that you NEEDED. If not, Savannah was a quick trip down 16. ( I was at GSU starting in 1996. ) Never had any issues with the locals. Seems like the school crowd kept to their own as did the locals when I was there at least.
Yeah it does to seem to be two diff bodies for the most part, I try to connect with them though through communty service and things, the local kids love us, and the parents appreciate the work we do
Do you happen to work with habit for humanity through the school group? If so, I probably know the 'leaders' of it. Was part of it, really enjoyed it, and partied with them.
Never work with habitat, I'd like to though, I work with Julia P. Bryant Elem After school program & Upward Bound mentoring program independantly and Keep Bulloch Beautiful & Step Into Statesboro through the school, fun stuff, the volunteers party the hardest
