Well the SVT is almost on its way out. Have to get it detailed and checked over and should be gone by Memorial Day.
So on Wednesday I drove down to Naples, FL to pick up my new ride. My uncle left his C5 Z06 at his house here when he moved to Florida so I drove it down there to trade for his Jeep. Now I'm the proud owner of a '95 Grand Cherokee with 250,000 miles. It has a 5-speaker stereo and a tight car phone. It still averaged 20mpg on the way back home.
The Corvette surprised me in that it didn't beat me up. With 480+whp it managed 25mpg at 80mph with the A/C on. That's with a 3.90 gear also. I had to engage warp speed a couple of times as the sound of that LS2 is something ridiculous. One guy came up to me at the gas station asking all sorts of questions. Fun to see the HUD skipping numbers as it tried to keep up with the acceleration.
