Many of us seem to have the "lurching" issue when we are at partial throttle and light load. I have been dealing with the same thing and attempting to isolate the root cause (outside of it being a 10 year old Ford).
One thing I have noticed is that I can roll into and out of the problem. If I am cruising along at 20% throttle around 30 miles an hour the problem will begin. If I back out of the throttle the problem stops. If I roll back in, the problem returns. If I continue to increase the throttle, I will come out of it near 50% throttle. This scenario can be recreated regardless of speed/gear.
This leaves me believing that the TPS is bad. Has anyone had something similiar? Is my analysis accurate?
