Did my slave cylinder go out..

Ok its been 3 months since my BAT trans install...I have a Spec stage 2 clutch that was istalled on the car awhile ago i used the slave cylinder that came with it..Well my mech didnt put that slave cylinder from spec on the new trans he instead used the BAT one..Not sure if this makes a differince.But now my car was slipping at around 5K shifts..I let the car cool off etc..Now go out and start it in Neutral and wont go in any gear..Now i can shut the car off put it into gear and start and it stalls..Clutch pedal as plenty of stiffness and i just tryed bleeding the system didnt help at all..Any help would be appersiated thanks..Joe..
 
...the BAT MTX's come with a brand new OEM GENUINE FORD TOB/Slave....chances of it going out are slim to none. By the discription it sounds like the clutch has failed and will not disengage...$10 says the clutch disc is locked to the flywheel/pressure plate..Sounds 'fried'.Pull the trans and inspect the clutch..TH

Yes sir its being pulled today..Im hoping i didnt screw up the Fidinza Flyhwheel..I always had that darn clutch chatter i read it wears out the clutches faster..Anyone have a soulution to fixing this problem..Thanks..Joe.

Yea the solution is do not get another Spec clutch get a OEM.

Can i still run my Fidanza Flywheel with a OEM clutch
And also the TOB i guess i didnt replace last time i replaced the clutch..Can anyone give me a clue as to where this goes please..

Yes, it goes around the imput shaft. LOL 3 bolts tq'd to 7 ft. lbs. with anearobic gasket maker behind it. Should not have an o ring on it.

Now I am confused....I bought a luk clutch kit w/ slave. The new slave came with an o-ring that I installed. Three months later the slave has failed. I am sure no gasket material came with the kit:blackeye:
Please explain further.

An O-ring is not to be used as stated. Simple as that. Been hashed before on here. Anaerobic gasket maker is to be used.
 
If your clutch is slipping its not a slave cylinder problem... Its probably your clutch disc or the pressure plate which is causing it to slip...

How long did you break in the clutch for? I had some slippage in the upper rpm range after I first broke in my spec stage 3, I just took it easy for a bit longer period of time and it luckily went away

Ok everyone got the car back together new clutch in and ever..The spec clutch was broke in for about 500 miles or so all shifts under 4500Rpm's it wasnt that its just a POS..Im starting to think the slave cylinder went out because its still doing the same thing as before..The only reason why i didnt replace the Slave Cylinder is becasue it only has about 2K on it..But see now i can start the car while its in gear and just hold the brake and it wont go anywhere but i cant get it outta gear..But it will shift to all gear while car is off..

Did you have your flywheel machined?
 
Nope it didnt look that bad its a Fidanza Flywheel so i was told that i just have to order new inserts for it about 70 bucks or soo.

It really just sounds like your clutch is slipping, I thought maybe once they were machining your flywheel they didn't realize it was a stepped flywheel but since you have a fidanza that idea is down the drain...

Take the dust cover off where you bleed your clutch and have your buddy press the clutch pedal as you observe the slave movement... See if its completely backing of each time?

I did all the work myself..No mechs yet..but the clutch grabs when i let out on the clutch but it wont go into another gear..Funny is that it never started while in gear before now it will..Im going to take a look at that slave movement here in a min.
