95 contour fuel gauge problems

i have a 95 contour 2.5 and the fuel gauge stays at full i unplugged the sending unit from the fuel pump and it still stayed the same. i even bought another sending unit replaced it and it is still doing the same thing. what should i do to find out what the problem really is?

Best guess would say you need a new fuel gauge.

...or wiring issue. Disconnect the battery and if the gauge falls to zero, then you know it is a wiring issue. If it stays, then it is the gauge.
