Hey all; we're taking off my cowl to run some wiring, and the wipers are pretty much frozen on. We've tried PB Blaster, and we're going to try a small puller (like a battery terminal puller) tomorrow. Does anyone have any other ideas?

Thanks all!

Don't just pull straight up. Wiggle back and forth a little bit to break the seal between the post and wiper. Shouldn't need a puller.

This should be in General Troubleshooting.

You did unscrew the bolt on top of the wiper post (spline), didn't you? It is hidden under the plastic cover.

Mis-read the forum title. Damn new forum goodness!

I'll try the puller; yes, we removed the nuts, and tried wiggling. Well, this oughta do it! Thanks guys.

OK, for future searchers at the very least, a battery terminal puller works great. I picked one up at Kragen for $4.99, had the arms off in a heartbeat. Do note that the arms have to be up (hinged away from the car, like what you do when you replace wiper blades) to pop all the way off.
