If i turn the wheel all the way the either the left or the right i hear a noise that sounds like the wheel is rubbing against a piece of metal or something. What could this be?

get under the car and get the wheels off and looks for signs of rubbing, if you can't find any then you will need to start looking for something else ....

just wasted some money trying to figure out the same thing...mine was a control arm bushing and balljoint, but you may also wanna check the wheel bearing, and cv boot.

if its a grinding noise, its probably a wheel bearing. I let my wheel bearings go to long without replacing and they started making this noise.

Yeah it sounds like a grinding noise. Is a wheel bearing expensive to get fixed? Or is it hard to replace?

Yes and yes. First you must remove the complete knuckle. Then the wheel hub must be pressed out with a hydraulic press. Then you remove the snap ring and press the bearing out. Inevitably, the snap ring gets bent during the pressing process. Reverse the above procedure with new bearings and snap rings. It's VERY important that the new bearing AND the hub are pressed in correctly.

First time a Ford mechanic did both of mine and screwed 1 side up. I found out later when I did the job myself and the hub basically fell out. The hub had "chatter" marks and scoring where it was riding on the bearing race. So I had to get a new hub as well as bearing.

This is definitely not a job for the home and/or neophyte mechanic.
