I have a 1998 CSVT and I went to try to start it and it wouldn't. It turns but wont catch its like its not getting gas, I know it has gas in it. This is the second time its happened. I used a lil bit of starting fluid last time, but this time no go. HELP PLEASE!!

Maybe check to see if it's getting a spark first. Remove a plug, then reconnect plug wire to the plug, then crank the engine w/ plug grounded. If you're getting a spark, then CPK and CPS should be OK. Check there first. Also ,do you have any CEL's??

HAAAAAA I NEW THAT LOL! Well No Check Engine Light, only when trying to start but that normal when first starting the car RIGHT?

Right. How old is the battery? Do the terminals look clean and tight? Check wiring and connectors for the Camshaft Position Sensor (CPS) and Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKP).

But it starts just doesnt turn over that means the battery is ok right. I guess i need to get out the chiltons book lol

Honestly I Dont Know, I Had My Dad Try To Start While I Sprayed Starting Fluid, And It Smoked And Then Started So Im Not Sure!!

If you did a cold start, then shut the engine off abruptly it
"could" have been flooded...

however, if you notice that when it doesn't start that the engine is turning VERY rapidly (much faster than normal) it is pointing at a loss of compression.

Either could be(have been) your problem.
