Looking for experience/reviews of the following:

Ultra Linear subwoofers

&

MA Audio subwoofers.

I currently have and MTX 4000 8" and am looking to upgrade to a 10". I found decent deals on them, but am unsure of the quality. Anyone ever used either of these brands?

Personally I wouldn't buy either brand, especially the ultra linear. What's your budget and what kind of amp do you have to run the sub?

I have a 300 Watt mono amp by alphasonik.

Well, took the plunge and bought a pair of the UL's for 10 bucks a piece. Figured, if they are crap I can toss 'em.

I am not looking for "boom", but full range extension. Having two 12's that are decent should reach farther down than my 8 has. ...hopefully...

Received today.

Installed the Ultra Linear UL122W in a 1.25' box. Must say, it is the best 25 dollar speaker I have ever run. Wired the DVC for 2 Ohms (~400 Watts RMS from amp).

Tight, deep, quick. Plays slap guitar, classic, and kick drums with ease. Dance tracks are childs play. Haven't been able to push it for volume/distortion, but a normal levels, sounds great. I have a second one, but don't think I could stand installing it as the bass would overpower the rest of my system.

Big difference from my MTX 6000 8".

Anyone looking for a budget sub for the tour, these are pretty good.

Got any picks of the rear deck enclosure? Sounds interesting.

Actually I think I'm going to be selling it soon. I've decided to keep the SVT and sell of my other car but I've already removed the entire system from the SVT and don't feel like putting it back in.
I'm putting the Alpine 9835 back in but I think the sub setup and possibly the amps may make their way to the classifieds soon.
