I could kill the idiot at Best Buy I let install my speakers, I didn't realize how easy it was so I let them install it and if you'll recall about 2 months ago my passenger front speaker didn't work, I don't think it worked since I rolled out of the garage, but I didn't realize it until then, so today I was bored and decided to open up the door and see if I could replace it with one of the working stockers, and what do I find? First, it's attached (poorly) with only 3 screws to the door and is pretty loose, so I remove it, and I find it's not attached to anything! The simplest work I've ever done to a car is this, and that idiot either didn't even attatch the speaker plugs, or did it poorly and they fell off, plugged it in, works perfectly. I could kill that kid, he'd better hope I don't ever see him again.

note to self: this is why I do all my own work that I can ...

thats simple at least ... who ever built the engine in my parents new excape almost cost my parents an engine ... a heat line was routed wrong and was rubbing against the water pump ... it was almost cut through ... if that had gone the engine could have cooked .... luckly i was talking with my dad about the difference between the 2.5 and 3.0 and when we went to check out that the water pump doesn't use a tentioner anymore he noticed the hose ... lucky if you ask me, and in the end all fixed for free and it was really routed wrong ...

Yep, speakers are so easy. No more Best Buy for you.
Glad that you fixed it.

Sounds like Best Buy alright...I used to work at a Best Buy and most of the install techs were idiots. Don't get me wrong, there were a few good ones though. One kid was installing a CD player and some how sliced his hand open and bled in some one's car and had to get stitches. I would have been pissed.

Yeah, I would assume that every once in a while you'd come across a good one.
I'm not willing to take that chance though. ;)

Live and learn.

The two lesbians I work with don't know how to wire up speakers either. One of them was even in the Air Force.

I was going to edit this part out, but needless to say after I finished installing speakers in their Jeep...they put on a fantastic show for me.

LUCKY! (napoleon dynamite voice)

I wanted to hear the details but never did. All I heard was two lesbians put on a show for me.
You never did say if you got to join in or not.

What details would you need?

Ian, watching things happen in person is much much better than a dirty video. Trust me.

I'm sure Glenn video taped it on his phone. ;) He just doesn't want us to know so he doesn't have to share it.
