Still a Problem

I have a 96 Contour 2 l. I have the problem of the car not idling propery in park or drive. I have replaced numerous parts and it has not solved the problem. I have no cel but I am smelling a rich gas smell.

Please help as wife is getting on my back over the car not running properly.

Also, it was common for the pre98 Zetec contours to have a cycling idle. Where it would go up and down between 700 and 900 RPMs.

what in the world are you talking about .... only time I ever see my idle cycle is when teh ac compressor is kicking on and off .... otherwise idle should be stable ...

Replaced the Iac, cleaned maf, new o2 sensors, new plug wires, new plugs last year, fuel filter repaced2 months ago, and checked fuel pressure and it was good.
