have you ever seen

Don't forget it's a 2006 2000 model.

So let's see...we have a 2006 2000 M5 740iL 10 cylinder V6. Did I get everything?

a perfect example of "this person shouldnt even be allowed to own a car"

good news is, since he seems like such an idiot. You probably could talk the price down if you BSed to him a little. He is already asking kind of a lowballed offer.

Did they even make a 7 series with a manual tranny?

Yes they did, IIRC the US market did not get this car but the 740's did come in manual tranny flavor. I believe the previous generation could be had with a manual tranny in the 735's.

 Don't you think that if it were a 7 series, that would defeat the idea behind it being an M5? The 5 denotes that it is a 5 series.

Mark

It's NOT an M5, look at the description where he says it's a V6, he also says it's a 740I.

EDIT: Yeah I figured there was a 7 series with a manual at some point, I just meant that year car and American, guess I should have specified, but I don't think that's a manual as it's stated. This guy really does not know anything about his car, huh?

He also said it's a V6 and a 10 cylinder, so maybe it is an M5, but it looks a little long to me to be an M5 and not a 7 series as he stated in the description.

Also where it says 2006 M5, do you honestly think it's a 2006 M5? If you do I'm inclined to make a comment on your intelligence or lack there of, I'm gonna guess it's a 2000 7 series like he says in the description.

*sigh* the 7 series in that body style only came with a V8 or a V12, ALL of his information is misleading/incorrect, he lists 3 different engine styles and he misses every time. Talk about missing the broad side of the barn.

ITS A 7 SERIES. I dont know why thats so hard for people to figure out. Furthermore the 740Il only came with a 4.4L V8 and in the states it only came with a 5 speed auto for the 2000 Bodystyle.

Thank you, I don't know if they were being sarcastic, but come on, look at it, if you saw that driving down the road, would you think it's an M5? Obviously too long and also obviously not a 2006. Not trying to be a jerk, coming off like that I'm sure, but seriously, it's obviously a 7 series.

With the intelligence of that seller, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he changed nothing to the ad and the car turned out to be an '80s Renault 5 turbo. I can understand if you're not a car enthusiast like me and just know that it has 4 wheels, an engine, and is a BMW, but shouldn't he be able to look at the badging, owners manual, or even *gasp* open the hood and look at the engine and figure out what those strange symbols that we like to call numbers and letters mean?
