My hood wont stay down....

So i get my new CF cowl hood, i install it and to my surprise it wont stay down it latches but its like when you pop your hood just before you unlatch it..... has anybody else had this problem ive ordered some of those aerocatch hood latches but i was wondering if i could fix this or is this a common problem and its nothing to worry about just get the hood latches installed and forget it.

need to mod your latch. You'll probably need to enlarge the holes so that you can pull it down twoards the ground more. You will probably also need to lower the hoods bumpstops

take off the latch and put 2 washers on each bolt. that should help a little. i also pulled out the radiator core support a fraction of a centimeter to make it latch properly. you may also want to take a file and file a little bit out of each hinge on the hood. it can be a real pita if you dont have a creative imagination
