Recently I did a TB, UIM/LIM, EGR and IACV cleaning as it was time for it. Whilst doing it I discovered my "Mr. Moose" hose had a crack in it right where the "hang fix" cap was inserted. So, I went and got a new one. Unfortunately they did not have any "Mr. Moose" type hoses and I got a 97 type, one with the resonator on the side. Put in a hang fix, and put it in. Ever since I did all this my idle is around 850, 900. Engine idles well and even, it's just higher than it should be. Could it because the newer type hose?
At first I thought it was the computer relearning, but it’s been way to long.

P.S. It’s a 95 2.5L with MTX. Over 340 000, all original, just a regular maintenance and lots TLC. Never broke on me!

yes it is!

yes it is!

Could be the IACV after being cleaned is now not functioning properly.

Yup, removed it today and tested it. It sticks slightly; cleaning it again did not fix it. Lucky me I had 3 others I removed from the cars in junk yard. I've put in one from a 98 tour. Had to change wire plug as it's different from the 95. It actually works so much better than ever before. Throttle hang gone completely! I mean it was good before, but now it’s like driving a sports car. Engine feels so much more responsive when those RPM’s just go down in an instant, and idle is dead on the spot at 750, very smooth. It feels like driving a high performance car now: D Well, I'm off to finish my tune-up.
Man, I got to stop doing these late night repairs, my girlfriend is starting to get jealous:D

Thanks, Kevinm!
