...can someone please explain what happens with the brake fluid once it is poured in the little white tank?? what is right below the tank? is this the master cylinder for the brakes? if so, where is the slave cylinder for the clutch? is it right next to the master cylinder, or is it once piece with the throwout bearing?

when engine is running it is really hard to shift into any gear. engine off...they all feel normal. sometimes when i shift into gear and the clutch is pressed all the way down, there is this grinding noise (like when you shift with a clutch). I just bled the clutch and it should have no air...can the entire clutch be gone?

what are the symptoms of a failing bearing? car is stuck at a friend's house and i don't know if it is a good idea to drive it like that. any help and suggestions are welcome...

i bled the sucker again and again. finally, the damn thing shifts normal. but it doesn't downshift well. sucks but i will try to bleed it again and hopefully it will get back to normal. if not, I am thinking of setting the beast on fire...but then again, i don't even have a bike...so I might as well keep the damn thing:(

any time you want to ride out to annapolis and leave it somewhere, you let me know.

Or if you want to borrow my Trek in exchange....

There is a hose from the brake fluid tank on the driver's side of the tank toward the back. The hose goes down to the clutch master cylinder on the firewall near the anchor point of the clutch pedal. The slave cyliner is the thing combined with the throwout bearing inside the bellhousing.

ok ok. So i just started bleeding the car again (i did it yesterday and it got much better) and after I was done bleeding I started the engine. At neutral, clutch down, I heard a hard griding sound. Then I restarted and the thing was clicking/knocking. So when clutch is pressed it knocks, when it is up, it sometimes knocks, sometimes doesnt. Eitherway, none of the gears would go in. I removed the rubbercover around the bleeder, and I can see the bearing moving inside, pressing the pressure plate. but it wont engage..why?

also, when i let the clutch go slowly with engine on, i feel a vibration in the clutch. could my clutch master cylinder (the one attached to the peadal) be gone? thus not providing enough pressure for the slave cylinder and the trowout bearing?????

what are the symptoms for a broken clutch? Please not that gears do go in when engine is not running.
