My 98 SVT

Oh, and obviously new to the CEG forums. I'll intro myself.

Live In Saint Louis MO
29 Yrs old
Gear nut (98 Contour, 93 Firebird Firehawk, 84CJ7, 05 Rubicon) All modified in some sort of way.
gotta 6yr old son
Love to take my cars to the Limit in every direction from Track Times to Rock Crawlin.
I am in Information systems ( computer geek)

About the Tour: Mirko Suspension, AEM Air Intake, Borla Catback, SHO Shop Y-Pipe, Chip is aftermarket forget what it is., Red Top Battery. BIG stereo system. Too much there to list.

I love my Contour more than my Firebird, after I put the suspension on I fell to my knees in handeling lust. Put the Bird on the back burner and gonna try to get 300-320BHP out of this new 2.5 I got installed. Was thinking of Supercharger and maybe some Clutch Upgrades.

There I am, pretty cut and dry.

Nice car!! However few things I should point out to you. Mirko does not make any sort of suspension kits for our car and it seems like you do not have a Borla Cat-Back..I have a Borla and the tips you have aren't in the cat-back system

Asthetics purely. I like having that car people look at and wonder what it is.
As my tour is I have taken all the Ford emblems off so it has absolutly no markings.

few more pics. my digi camera is being nutz so camera phone is gonna hafta do for a week or so.

well theres t-red hightowered headlights like everyone wanted to see, can't say they look great, but they certainly dont look bad either!

i really like the mystique tails / reflector on your car tho!

i am curious as to what exhaust/mufflers are actually on the car tho

Emailed the guy about what Exhaust tips are on there. The Muffs "say" Borla. I'll let ya know when he gets back to me.

wow thats alot of reading, tho I did not see a round about price for that.
The supercharger I want is a Vortech SC V9 roughly $2500. Got a buddie at a speedshop I goto quite often that will install it for free.

I may be a newbie, but I also have never heard of a Turbo Bolt-on that requires no Extra Mod's....like Exhaust, Intake, Fuel Lines and sorts. BUT I also have not researched them for this car. I'm obnly looking for like 12-15lbs of boost. I got my Car Dyno'd this past weekend with the new motor and a Revamped Chip. It is sitting at 228WHP, so I figure 15lbs of a SC or a Turbo kit...puts me around 300....I hope. Beaing as my compression ratio is 10k:1 I am weary of a Turbo.

Talk me into a turbo if you think I would lkike it more. This is a WEEKEND car for me. don't put more than 200miles on it a week. As its in the process of getting somewhat of a Makeover its actually getting driven way less.

thanks.

Well you had me till you wrote this:blackeye:

On a stock 2.5 liter....

That dyno is way off. Most stock 2.5L's svt dyno at 162hp. with your mods maybe an extra 6. that is around 168.

How did u get 228whp? Are you sure that isn't dyno corrected for HP at the motor.

Man somebody has you fooled.

yeah sorry, its 4am here, that is suppose to read 182WHP......Been in the garage all day suckin down CJ7 Exhaust fumes........
