started my new project... first time its done?

Well you guys can call me dumb or crazy or whatever you want, but I just picked up this monitor for free this past week and I wanted to put it in my csvt. Well since I already have an in dash up front... I figured since I have an extra center console that needs some TLC already, I'll fit it in. I am going to fiberglass it all so its pretty much molded correct. Tell me What you guys think so far and if it will come out pretty good...

Looks like a good start, but how can anyone watch it? Does it angle up any further? It looks like the way it is now, you would have to slouch way down to see it.
 
cool idea but wouldnt the viewing angle be so off, because there is so little back seat, making it only possible to see if your sitting *****?

EDIT: Damn the guy above me beat me to it. Guess i should have refreshed when i came back to my desk...
 
yeah man thats the sweetest thing about this monitor.... it will tilt at any angle. The reason it can is because its like 7 years old and it only comes out on its own, then you tilt it however you like... Viewing isnt my issue... my issue is finishing it very smoothly haha
 
cool idea. seems like something i'd be paranoid about getting broken though, with the little room there is in the back seat.
 
dude looks good im molding an ipod holder under my e brake in that black rectangle as soon as i get my foam to make it out of then covering it in fiberglass
 
Im not really fellin it. You could do a 7" or greater monitor there with ease compared to having to mount/glass/fill/blend/wire a eclipse 7001/7002
Only way IMHO it will be even decently cool would be if the rear speakers where hooked up to that. But then again it doesn't have a built in DVD player soo its kinda pointless again. Just getting a screen would be easier and better
 
when your tall buddy gets in the front seat and needs to put his seat back......

It kinda looks like it sticks out a bit on the sides.
