To start out, I diagnosed my problem of the horrible vibration while in drive stopped at a light to be my motor mounts. Last week I changed the trans mount thats under the air filter assembly. Just last night I changed the main engine mount thats by the belts. Even though changing both of those mounts helped tremendous amount, I still have some vibration that I believe should still be able to go away. My question is, could my Roll Restrictors cause this little bit of vibration? Im still planning on changing them anyway, but I want to be sure that it will be the changing factor in fixing this annoyance.

Well it was part of my problem on my car..My front one was gone..Ive never seen nor worked on a Zetec so i couldnt tell you much but give it a shot..Do you feel the vibrating while your driveing.

No, since ive replaced the two mounts, there is no vibration while driving, only when stopped at a light in gear.

Did you try having the hood open, putting the car in Drive with the parking brake on (or someone in the driver seat *BETTER IDEA*) and looking at the motor while it does these vibration issues.

The only thing I could think of is the Roll Resistors, I know they play some role in absorbing some of the motor/trannie's vibrations. I had some vibrations issues on my old Pre98, when I would take off from first sometimes the car would shake like hell. I replaced the driver side rear roll resistor with the SVT revised one and this all but eliminated the issue.

Ive left the hood opened while I placed the car in drive and held on the brake, and I do see the engine vibrating a little bit, as much as the shaking in the steering wheel. I just hope the roll restrictors will fix this problem. Thanks for your help

You know, I forgot to ask... This is going to sound stupid but... You did replace your motor/trans mounts with BRAND NEW ones right? Those are the kind of parts you really cant pick up used and expect to get good results from. Anything Rubber I would buy brand new.

Yes. Also make sure the mounts are all torqued to specs.

Yea, thats the only thing i didn't do. I tightened them pretty hard though, I used a breaker bar to turn them about another 90-180 degrees, after hand tightening them. It seems like i could have tightened them more but It seemed like too much and i didn't want to snap the bolts off because i had already broken one of my extensions trying to free one of the nuts before.
