Gas Mileage?

I replaced my t-stat a couple months ago and gained 1mpg (it doesn't really get that cold here anyways). I replaced my plugs, wires, coil pack, o2's, cat is relatively new, wideband says the a/f is good, MAF is clean, relatively new fuel filter, unaffected by octane (ran a full tank of 100), EGR valve tested ok with vacuum pump, fuel pressure is good (and no leak down), coolant temp sensor & TPS are good. I know there's more, but cannot think of it right now. I'm out of ideas and am going to test my compression the next chance I get. Also, I have a very slight exhaust leak that I have yet to pin point (somewhere between the heads & cat pipe)... not sure if it would be enough to taint my o2 & wideband readings though. Oh... and no CELs.

I would bet a good manifold cleaning and fuel injector cleaning would work wonders, I was getting around 27 MPG on the highway when it was cold out but when we got that warm spell like 2 weeks ago I drove around ~350 or 360 miles on 11.5 gallons, all of it highway and I always shift low (around 2,500RPMs) but still, I would check easy things like the air filter and oil, and then I would do the IM tear down and clean the manifolds until they looked brand new.

On the way back home from getting my 3L installed, I burned 12 gal. of fuel covering 310 miles @ 78 mph average speed ~ 26 mpg. That is with the benefit of a slight tailwind and the detriment of having no front bumper whatsoever (FYI- a CSVT front bumper and side skirts will not clear the front wheelpan of a U-haul tow dolley). I also have a BAT "euro" trans. which has a 3.82 final drive ratio (7% slower engine speed through all gears vs. stock mtx75). This was virtually exactly the same amount of fuel burned by my 3L duratec sable following me at the same speed.

I'm getting around 29mpg average everytime I fill the tank. About a month ago I was only getting around 23-24mpg average per tank. I'm cruising at about 73 most of the time. I'd say 90% of my driving is highway.
