I was wondering if there is a way to put some more resistance on the gas pedal. When I hit some bumps at low speeds it is very touchy(1st gear).

maybe you could change the spring on the Throttle Body. But, I don't know of anyone that has changed their spring or of anyone making a stiffer spring.

All of the resistance really is at the Throttle Body, so if you want I bet you could have a shop custom fabricate a spring for the throttle body plate that is stiffer then the stock one.

Keep the throttle body clean and you may not feel the need to change the spring tension.
