stock hood weight

anyone ever weigh the hood? i think the cf versions were like 10-15lbs. i think i remember the stock metal hood being like 40-50lbs. is this right? anyone have the actual weight?

I dunno, but back in Montana, a dude with a S/C SVT (not a CEG regular) had a CF hood... I nearly threw it through his winsheild when I opened it :blackeye:

That sucker was at least less than 1/2 the weight of a stock hood...

stock pre-98 hoods are rather light. maybe 25lbs.. or else i'm stronger than I think.

My 96's flexed a lot, maybe it doesn't have a ton of bracing?

Our old 88 Mark VII had an aluminum hood, was pretty light for a fairly large hood.
