That almost happened to me recently. Kinda. I was driving down the belt parkway a few weeks back, and since it was unseasonably warm i had my window open...and as i went unver an overpass a nesting pigeon decided it's be a good time to jump down and fly away. Well, being a typical FAT NY pigeon i guess it had some trouble getting going, and the damn thing almost like flew into my window! Like - i felt the wind from it's wings on my face!!
A long time ago my mother destroyed a seagull going over the bridge onto rikers island. Only, she was driving my dads 81 cutlass and it hit the very front/tip of the hood. Bathtub car vs bird = guts in the grill for weeks. Didn't make a scratch otherwise. They don't build em' like that no mo'

Something similar happened to me in the corolla.
Graduation day I left my house to go to a party, I was coming up to a left hand turn on a hill at a red light. Light turned green, made my turn and I guess my turn was RIGHT smack in the patch of a small bird's path, Since it was summer my window was open and the bird smacked directly into my B-Pillar, fell in my lap (dead obviously) and I had feathers and juice EVERYWHERE. it was SO sick.

that's wile how there's feathers in the car...can't really see if any of the bird got through the glass but i guess it had to.

When I was a kid my mom used to have a white 1993 Pontiac Grand Prix, and for some unknown reason birds flying into the front grill was not uncommon in that car, I even remember watching one fly next to the car and then veer right into the front of it, my dad used to have to clean dead birds out of the grill all the time. Never saw anything like that though!
