New bulbs for a Pre98 Mystique

I bought a set of 9005 and 9006 (the auction said they were for a Silverado) bulbs off of eBay for about $20. They're both rated at 100 watts and 4700K. Here's what I got:

I wasn't able to get the passenger side high beam bulb out. I could turn it about 1/4 turn and then it would not budge at all, so I guess I'll get that later.
I might be able to get some better pictures once it gets dark too.
Thoughts?

Im suprised they arent blue too. The only thing i would suggest is to go to this link and read it carefully then do it! I can only assume the headlights arent supposed to look like that not to familular with pre98 mys but i know my pre98 Contour looked like those but i did the fix and damn was it better!

Yeah, I buffed a lot of the yellowing and hazing out, but it's on the inside too. I like the color, it's a good white. I hate the cars with bluish headlights.

time for new headlights .... also I would be concerned about using that high of a wattage bulb ...

Mine aren't quite that bad yet, and headlight sets go for about $100 or so on eBay. I don't want to spend that much on a car I'm not planning on keeping for much longer.

I had forgotten how much the beam pattern on these cars suck. My '98 Subaru with its headlamps that date back to 1992 has the nice crisp __/__/ pattern. Are the 98+ headlamps any better on these cars?

The 98+ style is a little more at $220 for the whole set. Same thing, Ford OEM with new bulbs and adjusters.

My old Mystique had blue eyes....My headlights were pretty yellowy until I took some mothers Mag polish to them. Worked like a charm!!
