Accell Coil Pack (2.5L) Anyone ever use?

Looks about the same general price as an OEM coil pack.
I might potentially reach a point that I replace mine as part of a troubleshooting project, so I'm interested if this is even an actual alternative.

The stock coil is more than you will ever need, but the Accel should be a bolt on replacement. The only thing it will do for you is provide some yellow accent under the hood.

I don't understand why there's so much negativity towards that coil. If it's just as good as OEM, then it would be a cheaper alternative to OEM. If it is actually better, then that's an added bonus. Just because the OEM coil will produce enough power doesn't mean there should be no aftermarket alternative. If I were in the market for a new coil and wires (that coil supposedly requires the "clipless" 2001+ Cougar wires), then I personally would try out the Accel coil pack.

Now to ck42: If you search, you'll find this coil has been asked about many times with the same childish replies (not yours Big Jim), which quickly kills off the thread.

The coil, as Big Jim said is equivalent to the stock coil. So, as stated, if you need to replace a coil and wires its not a bad way to go... Certainly won't hurt anything and may even be slightly better.

Im pretty sure the price was just about the same if you buy a new Coil pack from ford..But dont take my word for it as i stated im pretty sure.

From summit, the accel is $87... and I think I saw it cheaper elsewhere (rockauto?). From Ford.. it's $83, hmm... it used to be around $120-150.
