fuel pump 95 2.5 fuel gauge problems

i want to know how do i remove the lines going to the fuel pump i need to check the fuel sender the gauge reads full until the car gets close to empty it reads half full

Good luck. I had to get my big framing hammer and use the claw to get mine off..

To remove the lines....Disconnect fuel and vapor return tubes from fuel pump module by compressing tabs on both sides of each nylon push connect fitting and easing the fuel line out of fuel pump module.

If you use too much force on the lines you will be SOL.
You probably need to purchase a new fuel pump retaining ring from Ford for 3 ro 4 dollars....you probably have to beat the old one pretty bad to get it out. If you replace the fuel pump check autozone. They are much cheaper and are FORD pump replacements...

Yeah, that's the way it's supposed to work.

I had to pinch the tabs with pliers in one hand and use the hammer claw to pry that ba$tard out of the pump module... really stuck in there..
