With a good runnning engine 72-7300 is safe. I have been running mine DAILY with a 7200rpm redline for over a year now and it is fine. Even with 140,000 miles now i get no weird noises and she runs like a champ with no bearing problems.

(now it will prolly throw a rod on my way home! lol)

yeah you are probably right ,, its kinda what happened to me.
