my fog lights just wont work.....is there a relay under the dash for them? maybe a fuse? the owners manual is useless....the fog light indicator in the dash isnt even coming on.
any suggestions welcome....even the blatantly retarded/obvious, im up for anything at this point

The owners Manual should have the under the dash fuse fox and what each fuse is find the one for the foglights and check it.Probally what is wrong with it..

the only place that it has a fuse for fog lights is under the hood...and that is good, but there has to be a relay somewhere......i heard it whine before the lights stopped working

Whining..Wow i have whining on my tour as well..Ever since i moved the battery to the trunk..I was going to turbo it but have sinced descided to just do a 3L swap..Its coming threw my speakers..I need to replace the ALT soon its over 100K that i know of.

yea....replaced that relay....and still nothing.....not even a click! im at a loss
Fog lamp fuse is either Fuse 5 (1996) or 20 AMP-Fuse 3 (2000, not sure when the changeover was). In Power Distribution Box next to the battery.

I know this may seem stupid.. (but you never know - and you asked for blantantly obvious)
Unless you do the fog light switch mod I previously mentioned, the fog lights will not come on (even though the switch will pull out) unless you turn it fully to the right & turn on the headlights as well. that was the only time I knew of that the foglamp light did not light up on the dashboard when the switch was pulled out. (when it was only at half turn and not full turn)
