I'm still working on things so there will be some more outages over the next couple days, however, I feel that the forum is stable enough to be used in the mean time.
Yes there are some section of the forum that are currently closed, I'm still working on the rules and setup for these particular sections, please be patient.
You may notice some new features on the site so I'll go over a few of them for you.
Thread tags
Thread tagging is a system that allows users to apply their own keywords (tags) to threads. See Wikipedia for more information on the ideas behind tagging. In short when you go to a thread you can add keywords at the bottom that will help the search engine better find specific topics.
Social Site Bookmarks
You can bookmark specific threads and topics on this site on google, digg, fark, etc. by clicking the various links at the bottom of the threads. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep this feature as of yet so consider it a trial run.
Blogs
Every registered user on this site now has blog space. Currently there are no moderators for the section or a posted rules list. Please do not think that means anything goes because it doesn't. If you post something (porn, illegal activities, etc.) that is not acceptable on the rest of the site it will be handled accordingly.
Profiles
Your profiles are different now and greatly more customizable. you also have album space now and can have up to 100 pics. This will replace the old site's user profile & pictures section.
There are other features that I'm missing, but I'll let you explore a bit and see how you like it.
