  • non-SVT PCM with 3.0l cams

I've got a bench-engine 3.0 build going on for a future Cougar project.
I think I'm going to put the 3.0l cams in it.
I THINK the car will run with a non-svt PCM on the 3.0l cams prior to tuning, but I'm not positive.
I know I'll need a tune eventually to get the right size injectors worked in, but for the purposes of getting the car running and driveable, I think I'll be okay.

Can anyone here confirm an untuned non-SVT PCM should be able to run 3.0l cams?
Your car is uglier than I am! uh...that didnt come out right.

I think I've got my answer. Non-SVT cams are closer to the 3.0 cams than SVT cams are, so the non-svt PCM would be the better choice from a cams perspective, but the injectors are still the bigger problem so either way probably doesn't make that much difference if its only intended to run long enough to get tuned.
