well i decided to help a friend out by installing spark plugs and wires on his 85 caprice.
I started changing the wires one by one.
well about the third wire through the other guy took off a another wire and they got mixed up.
then that happen agian.
so i had 4 wires all mixed up.
so it doesnt start when we are all done.
i figure its those wires so we go to PEP BOYS on everett mall way to ask them the firing order.
the guy draws us a diagram.
It was drawn wrong and the car doesnt start.
so we go back and look at a chitons and get the info from there but it doesnt show the #1 position on the distributer.
so we ask another guy at pepboys.
well using our new knowledge we try to fix the problem.
The car didnt start once agian.
so i sit there and ponder. i rememberd where one wire went before we started. so i make adjustment according to it.
the car starts fine it runs better then before.
SO now i feel like an ass because my friend knows i love cars and it took me 3 hours just to change wires and plugs.

#1I guess all i could say is he got the work done for free so i shouldnt feel to bad.
#2 dont ask pepboys for help and dont go there for service.
#3 go one at a time like i originally wanted to.
