Hey, i have a quick question concerning the stage 1 kit that sho shop is selling and claims to add a 17 horsepower gain, is this true? Anyone on here have this and seen and felt the results? The kit contains parts available for our cars(98-00 SVT contour), for example: Magnacore plugs, intake, etc. Its just a bunch of modifications put together in a package and ShoShop is selling it as a stage 1 kit. Just wondering if anyone on here has purchased this and seen the results, thanks for readin this post!

sounds a bit high to me...i would say more around 10-12 hp.

I purchased the kit,minus the resonator and y-pipe. The intake is ok, but i ditched the stock filter for a large K&N. The plugs they sent were only single platinums instead of double platinums. Also, I sold the underdrive crank pulley. The only thing I used from the kit was they-pipe, which i bought previously, and the p/s pulley. I reccomend not purchasing the kit. Most of the gains come from the y-pipe. J
