I'd recommend going to your local garage or Mieneke (i like mieneke's service and work), and get everything post catalytic converter removed. Then Get them to bend you some 2" pipe, to replace the 1 3/4" of the whole exhaust system. The exit size of the cat is 2". Put the mulffer where you'd like, but extend the pipe all the way to the rear of the car. If you don't have a tailpipe you might get pulled over by the police, although it won't be illegal, it will look as if it is. Also, you'r car is supposed to see some resistance in the exhaust pipe (bends, etc.), without the pipe there you might loose low RPM torque with the loss of "backpressure".
