Does anyone have a picture of a carbon fiber hood on a car or could someone photoshop a picture for us skeptical about buying the hood. Thanks

Chow, why aint there gonna be any subtle changes to the hood besides it just being carbon fiber.

Like I've mentioned before why not make the complete center of the hood have a rise starting from 0" at nose to about 1 1/2" at the cowl, with the rear being a vent for heat to escape from the engine bay, probably wouldn't change cost much, if at all, and would help out a bunch with heatsoak.

You probably won't be able to convince to many people to just swap a hood that looks the same as stock, save for carbon fiber and a little less weight, for $500, so why not do it right, you've got the connections already so make it function and look a little different from stock at least. Like I said my suggestion will probably not change price to much, but I guarantee people will be more prone to by it. At least that way it'll be more justifiable why I(you) spent $500 for a hood, CARBON OR NOT!!!

I'll be in than, but as of now I'm not!!!

I say everyone should agree and push for my suggestion, there should be no ram air, at least with carbon, probably gonna cost up in the G's!!! Like they say "FORM FOLLOWS FUNCTION" and not "FUNCTION FOLLOWS FORM!"
confused

I'm with quicksilver... He's got the right idea... We need to vent the engine bay...
I don't really want to go with the carbon fiber hood though... If it is available with that dark red/black carbon fiber look, I will think about it... I'd rather get a fiberglass one, for I will probably want to paint mine... Anyways... Keep me posted..

i am thinking about buying a Mustang or WRX scoop and having it molded into the hood over the intake runners. Keeping the engine cooler.
