FYI - just came across a 2000 Tropic Green SVT for sale. Mileage unknown.

It has been repo'ed by Jack Byrne Ford in Mechanicville, and the sales department guy - "Steve" - told me that it "needs work" and won't be put up on the lot for at least 2 weeks.

He characterized the mileage as "not too bad" (how bad could it be on a 2000?) and that the asking price would probably be "around $15,900" when it is finally offered up for sale.

Anyway, just thought I would throw that out there for the general consumption.

Hey, don't get me wrong - the Tropic Greens are pretty sharp looking, and I would love to have a 2000...but I'm in no hurry to dispose of Ol' Red just yet.

Plus, it would have to have some pretty low mileage on it for me to want to meet a $15,900 asking price - even if I haggled it down $1K.

Hmmm...of course, I could shave off 1% of my car loan interest rate for a 2000 model year...and if they gave me on trade-in somewhat close to what I still owe on Ol' Red...hmmm.

I may need to crunch some numbers here.
