I want to gauge interest on a batch of heatshields for people with open element filters. Im using the standard K&N, but this should fit most filters. The sheild will be uncoated aluminum, and is laser cut and bent to machine specifications . It comes edged in rubber strip, that could be easily pulled off, and door stripping could be used. Id like to see if there is any interest in these; depending on the number of people I want to say it would end up at $50 or less. The more interest, the cheaper it becomes. Here are some pictures of the one off I made myself, which would be used as the template.

It doesnt follow the contour of the fender perfectly, since it has a slight bend and some dimples in it, but its very close.

It fits close enough to the hood as is tho! He was talking about the bottom. However, yes weatherstripping would completely isolate it. And ill ship it to deutschland just for you because you've been a good customer

Somebody also suggested a GB for a Zetec version. Might not be a bad idea if you can swing it. I have cars with both engines & the Zetec does indeed need some love.
