... you see a V-8, 2-door old style Chevy Monte Carlo with a park bench wing, double bling wheels, & Type R badges?

Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

No, I personally don't think it is. If it has V-8 power (although the more logical choice would be the 3.8 6), then it is not rice. Maybe in bad taste, but not rice.

why would a 3.8 be a more logical choice? there is no replacement for displacement...but watch me get owned on this one too.

IMO, rice is putting something thats non-fuctional, or fake on your car: i.e. huge wing, z3 fenders, hood/roof scoop, vents of any kind, badges of something its not, (theres a svt probe where i live) ???? thats just my $.02

Must be time for our bi monthly "what is rice" thread.

I put misbadging into a whole different category. Misbadgers don't necessarily equate to rice IMO but more of the Poser category. Example: Being that I live in Poserville, NM I have seen:
1 each Escort badged with as a GT AND SVT at the same time
2 each V6 Mustangs badged as SVT's
2 each Type R dodge neons
and probably a lot of other posered out cars that I have forgotten. Soon I will have my digi cam and I can start recording these instances of Poseritis.

Saw a one of a kind Dodge Intrepid Type R yesterday... thankfully my dad was next to me in the car... we had a good chuckle. :-)

He's just saying the more logical choice for a ricer I believe. Since ricers are idiots they wouldn't want a more powerful engine, they'd take the base version and make it look gay as hell.
