Personally, I would want the shift light up higher where it would be in my line of sight. Only thing is that mounting it in plain view... its in plain view. Then again so is the gauge cluster.

-Mark Where i did have it blinded me at night. i hate having that gawdy yellow cover on it so i just leave it off. i have seen some Mustang guys do this and it inspired me to try it.  so forget you Mark what would you know. lol.

Phat.... I had the same problem with the light in my old car. I wouldn't matter where you mounted the thing it would blind you no matter what. Kinda funny but also kinda annoying.

If you can still close the vent....you can smimply shade the light out....then when ur racin' or what not, open it up....
