The other day I pulled up behind a 2nd gen SVT and noticed that the rear valence under the rear bumper was black while his car was silver. Is this the way it is supposed to be? The rear end of my SVT got crunched and fixed last year. I don't recall what it was before but now my rear valence thingy is T-Red. I think I prefer that.

Yes, but I seem to remember that on black SVTs, the rear fascia is shiny black (same as car), not matte black. Is this correct?

Only took me about a year to notice the difference  , slipped by the autobody too. I like the colour match, it simplifies the rear end and gives the car a more expensive look.

I have often thought I would prefer it all the same color. I remember a Silver SVT that was the same color and it looked great.
I have a small scratch or scuff in the black area and guess what color it is underneath. It is red and matches the rest of the car. It looks as if the factory origanally painted the entire rear bumper the same color as the rest of the car and then pained a portion of it black. Maybe I should just break out a can of rubbing compound.
