i just got them in the mail, very excited... this will be the first mod to the new car. hmmm, to bad i dont know how to do it. smile is there anyone here that can tell me a little bit more about it. im trying to set up a meeting with a couple locals to help me out, but any additional info would be greatly appreciated. where are they located? is it hard to do? i know i am going to need to dremel out the inside of the older things, i searched and got some info, but was wondering if i can get more. smile smile hehe.. thanks guys.


im doin a 100 on the highway... so if you do the speed limit get the f*** out of my way.

Wires? What kind of wires? Plug wires? and why would you need to dremmel? Im confused

He probably got the 9mm Ford Racing plug wires. You have to Dremmel out the inside arch of the wire holder thingys so that the larger 9mm wires will fit in them.

I think he's talking about the spark plug wires also. but I never had to dremel anything to put mine on

yes, duh... me forget to post the wires. they are ford 9mm wires. monkey was right. good guess!

Forget about dremeling, who needs them to be in that stupid holder. Really, you don't have to do that unless you really want to. Just yank old wire off, sorta hard just twist and yank hard. You should go ahead and change spark plugs too.(I suggest using autolite double plats). Take one wire off, put new wire on. Do one at a time so definetly won't cross wires. Put some dielectric grease in the wires(should be in box with wires). It's very easy to do. Pulling old wires off and getting old plugs out is the hard thing.

i heard the damn plugs are under the engine? is this true. someone told me i would have to get a mechanic to lift the engine so i could reach them. sounded fishy, whats up with that?

No, the plugs are on top, just a little difficult to reach. You have to remove the coil pack and the front plastic cover to get at em. You'll need a fairly long extention to get to the plugs. The Haynes manual I have does a fairly good job at explaining the procedure...I would pick up one of those before I did anything if I were you. Good luck!
