I wish some of the more elite players of the league would step up and play. I'm not sure about this year but at the last WBC many of the league's best players were asked to play and turned it down.

Some of the better players are supposed to play in 08. I believe they are on the roster already.

I'd rather see the top college players going for gold. Get someone out there that gives a damn about their Country! Some athletes that don't know what it's like to make $5 million a year(yet), that don't have to receive a huge paycheck for playing a competitive sport. It doesn't seem that anyone in the NBA cares anymore about being elite, so why should we care about them?
