So what does Volvo have that is anything remotely like the 92x? Nothing. Just because it's a swedish company doesn't mean jack. V70R? Please...

I'm considering a V70R for my next car. Have you driven one Chris? You might be suprised at the listed criteria.
You answered your own question; Volvo doesn't have a direct competitior to the Saaburu.
Don't get me wrong, I do love the Volvo R's. However, I don't need another $40k+ car payment. I did look at a few V70R's on ebay. There was a Black/Orange AWD 6speed that really caught my eye 
92x Meets my needs, both function and budget. I have always wanted a WRX but the Saab looks/service where too good to pass up.

Drove an S60R. Decent car but not totally impressed for the money. Would rather get a slightly used S4. The volvo felt heavy..underwhelming. The adjustable suspension was nice though.
